Lovin' some Sweet Potatoes

Well Mommy finally gave in. She let me have FOOD! For about 2 weeks she kept giving me YUCKY cereal and didn't get the hint that it was GROSS! But last night she finally let me try the good stuff. And boy was it good! I wanted more, but she told me that I had enough. Bummer. Hopefully she will keep giving me this stuff. I like it!

On the Move

Mommy was busy on the computer and she thought that I was innocently playing on the floor... little did she know, I rolled myself all the way across the room and under my crib!

Eating a Biscuit

Yesterday my Mommy gave me this thing called a Biter Biscuit. It was great! Since I dont have any teeth I couldn't really "bite" it, but I licked it, and it was yummy.

After a while I forgot about the biscuit because I realized how yummy my fingers tasted!

In Memory of You

By M.S.Lowndes

We want to always remember
The beautiful life you lived
And keep alive the memories we have
Through remembering what you did

For you’re so special to all of us
A wonderful person indeed
Your love, laughter and warm smile
Reflected a heart that believed

Just in the everyday things we do
We remember your faith and love
In the words you spoke to help us through
Is a continued reminder for us

Although we miss you so very much
We know we’ll see you once more
For this is the hope we have in God
Being re-united in the Lord

And as we gather we’ll continue to share
Special times we went through
For these are memories that warm our hearts
As we honor the memory of you

What is this wet stuff failing from the sky?

This morning we woke up and Mommy said that it was raining! I'm not sure what this means, but it means something serious, because she bundled me all up.

P.S. Thanks to my cousin Keri Moffitt I have a cute warm sweater. I dont think that Mommy remembered to buy warm clothes for me. But she said that we get to go shopping today! Yippee!

Cereal. YUCK!

I think Mommy and Daddy are trying to torture me. Someone SAVE ME! Last night they tried to feed me this thing they called "Cereal." What were they thinking???? SO GROSS!!!!

Watch this video. I think this is child abuse and here is my proof.

Go USC!

Our Move

Well we have finally finished moving. Here is the scoop.

Mommy and Daddy are planning on buying a house within this next year. So instead of being stuck in a lease when they found a house, Grandma was nice enough to let us move in with her. This will allow Mommy and Daddy to take their time and make a good decision.

I think Grandma likes having me around all the time too!!! So it works out for all of us.

Wish us Happy House Hunting!

Moving

We are right in the middle of moving, so there will not be any updates for a week or so. Please be patient.... Mommy will post new pictures soon!

I love Toys

Why do I need toys like this....
When remote controls are much more fun!

Notice that I'm sitting up like a big girl. I can now sit for about a minute before I fall over! I'm getting strong!

Daddy's Little Girl

Its Mommy here. I just have to tell you what little miss Lexi did yesterday.

All day long she would light up every time she saw Daddy. She has a MAJOR crush on him.

Fast forward to bedtime. She finally feel asleep around 10pm! Yikes. She was really hyper and didn't want to go to bed. About 30 mins later, she woke up. We let her play for a while, in hopes that she would fall asleep again, but nope. Her playful screams turned into mad screams. So I got her out of bed and was just holding her on my lap.

Her Daddy was sitting close by, and she kept starting him down. This was the conversation that followed:

Daddy: "You're supposed to be in bed"
Lexi: (Pouting lower lip)
Mommy: (Laughing)
Lexi: (Smile at Mommy)

Daddy: "Its bed time Lexi"
Lexi: (Pouting lower lip)
Mommy: (Laughing)
Lexi: (Smile at Mommy)

Daddy: "Lexi, you need to go to bed"
Lexi: (Pouting lower lip)

Mommy: (Laughing)
Lexi: (Smile at Mommy)

This went on about 10 times. Anytime Daddy said that its bed time, she would pout her lower lip. It was SO funny! She was trying to pull at Daddy's heart strings! She is already trying to get her way out of things.

My Pug Nose

My mommy finally caught my pug nose on camera!

I'm rolling all over the place

Today I mastered rolling from my back to my tummy. This was harder than I thought. Once I figured it out, I rolled all over the living room! Mommy took away all the cool things on the floor that I wanted to get - like a really neat tape gun! I wanted to chew on that so bad!

5 Months Old Today

Today I am 5 months old. I didn't have to go to the Dr this month because I'm healthy and don't need any shots (Thank goodness!)

Here are my 5 month stats according to our scale and measuring tape:

Weight: 16.1 lbs

Length: 25.5 inches

This month I have really mastered my hands. I love to be able to touch, grab and chew on anything that I like. I am keeping mommy and daddy on their toes because I can grab just about anything. The other day I knocked over a water glass in a restaurant... whoops. They haven't quite figured out that they need to keep the perimeter clear of these things... otherwise, I'm going for it!

I still like to roll over, but I dont like to roll onto my tummy. I get to see all the cool things when I'm on my back. Maybe one day I'll roll both ways.

Just a few days ago I figured out that if I scrunch my nose up and breathe fast, it makes a funny noise. Its a good way to get every ones attention because its new. Mommy says I remind her of a Pug doggy. hehe. Mommy isn't sure how I learned how to do that, but Daddy said its because she does it to me.....

Here is a picture of me... almost sitting up on my own:

Weekend Project

So this weekend my parents put a shed together in my Grandma's backyard. It was about 105 degrees while they were trying to do this. They were really hot. Grandma and I stayed nice and cool inside the house.
(I think they were a little jealous!)
Here are some pictures. I think they did a great job! Dont mind my Mommy's green hat! At least she didn't get sunburned!
