Helping Papa

While Papa was visiting, he did a little remodeling in our bathrooms. He installed new toilets and new flooring. It looked like so much fun, so I decided to help.

Thanks Papa! The bathrooms look so pretty now!

Christmas 2008

We hope that you had a wonderful Christmas. We certainly did. Grammy and Papa from Northern California came to visit. It was so much fun having lots of family around. I was always busy doing something.

Here are the highlights of our Christmas:

Telling Santa what I want for Christmas

On Christmas Eve, Grammy let me open a present. I got dress up shoes!!!
Eating breakfast on Christmas Morning. I got to lick the spatula that was used for the cinnamon rolls! YUMMY!
A fun little kitchen set that is just my size!

My Auntie Heather got me a tutu, wings and a wand! It was SOOO much fun to dance around the room in. (Yes, my wings are upside down. I was so excited that I wouldn't let Mommy fix it!)

Allie and Grammy
Higglytown Heroes Play Set. This is SOO much fun!
Allie slept through presents. Papa was trying to show her what she got.

Wearing Papa's glasses
(I have food on my face - whoops)

Allie and Papa snuggling
A piano!
My new tricycle. It has a handle on the back so someone can push me around! It is SO much fun.

I got lots of presents this year. Mommy and Daddy had to hide some and have been letting me open a new present as a surprise throughout the day. I think there may be more hiding in the closet. Mommy keeps saying that next year she isn't going to buy so much. We'll see about that!

Christmas Lights

Tonight Mommy and Daddy took me on a special trip. Just the 3 of us. Like how it used to be. We went and looked at Christmas Lights! There is a neighborhood by us that goes all out. Everyone decorates their house, and many people offer hot chocolate for all the "tourists."

It was a lot of fun, but really cold! (45 degrees... which is REALLY cold in Southern California)

Mommy was REALLY excited when we came to this house. She said something about a Cabbage Patch Kids Nativity. I dont get what all the hype was, but she said she used to play with these dolls when she was a kid.

2 Weeks Old

Allie is 2 weeks old today! Can you believe it? Time has flown by.

So here she is at 2 weeks

Then to compare... this is me, Lexi, at 2 weeks old

An Attempt at a Family Photo

Allie and I showed Mommy and Daddy that things dont always go as planned with 2 kids. We made it difficult to get a good family picture. A few turned out, but I made lots of funny faces!

Socks. Allie is wearing socks! (My new favorite word)
Totally over it.

I found my ear. Its right here!

Poking Daddy's eye
Mommy and Daddy were trying to get a picture of just the two of them. I jumped in at the last second!

Playing in the rain

I dont remember ever seeing rain before. It doesn't rain here very often and I've never been able to play in it. So when Mommy went into the garage to do laundry, I snuck out of the door and stood in the rain. It was a lot of fun!

Guess what? I'm in my Christmas Jammies... I wasn't supposed to get them dirty! Whoops.

Allie's first Dr appointment

Today Allie had to see her Dr. He said that she is doing great! She is still not back up to her birth weight, but is 8lbs even.

Mommy has been taking her to a Newborn Healthy Beginnings clinic and they do weight checks on her. Well the nurses there had Mommy really concerned because they said that Allie should be back up to 8lbs 8 oz and eating more than she is. But Dr Saad said that there is nothing to worry about and she is doing just fine.

They are going back next week to do a weight check.

Other than that, Allie is great. She sleeps a lot, never really fussy, and sleeps at night time. Mommy isn't getting much sleep yet because Allie eats so much at night, but they are both doing really well.

Babies on the same day!

Do you remember reading on this blog that my Mommy and her friend were due around the same time??? Auntie Lauren was due on Dec 9th, and Mommy was due on Dec 17th.

Well wouldn't you know, they ended up having the babies on the SAME DAY!!!!! Auntie Lauren had baby Emily at 4:11am on December 5th, and baby Allie was born at 9:37pm on the 5th!

They are birthday buddies!

Here is a picture of baby Emily: (7lbs 3oz and 20 inches)

Sisterly Love

Allie is doing a good job of putting up with me! I love to hold her, but sometimes I forget that I need help picking her up. Thankfully she is too heavy for me to get a hold of her, but it doesn't stop me from trying!

Just doing a little dental exam. No teeth yet.

Yep, she has a nose.

A visit from Uncle Curtis

Uncle Curtis stopped by last night to meet Allie for the first time. I love it when he comes over. He likes to play with me! He even brought me a present! He is a great uncle.

The first photos of Allie

More pictures to show you!

This is a funny picture of Mommy. She was just playing it up for the camera. She really wasn't in pain, but she also didn't feel like smiling. So she made it look like she was screaming.

The proud Daddy with Dr Rodrigues and our WONDERFUL nurse!
The first tender moments
