San Diego for Mommy's Birthday

Daddy and I took Mommy to San Diego for her birthday. We started our weekend by going to the Zoo. Well wouldn't you know, the camera was dead. We bought a cheap disposable camera, but didn't take many pictures because the animals were boring! They all were hiding and sleeping because it was hot! Bummer!

But we had fun the rest of the time.

Look! I'm a bucket head!
At dinner
At the San Diego Padres Stadium (This was something Daddy wanted to do)
Playing on the seats at the stadium
We found some really nice dogs in a park. The owner let me hold the leash - and I didn't want to let go!
My breakfast consisted of a Jelly packet and toast dipped in Ketchup! Breakfast of champions!

Happy Birthday Mommy, Grammy & Aunt Heather

My Mommy, Grammy and Auntie Heather all have birthdays in July. They were able to celebrate together this year! (This hasn't happened in a very long time) They went shopping then went to the BEST nail salon in Northern California!

Here they all are getting a pedicure (with Auntie Nicole - at the far right)
The end result
They ended the day with dinner!

Happy Birthday Everyone!

Visiting with my Family

Mommy and I just got back from our trip to Northern California. We had a really fun time. I got sick while I was there (it happens every time) but this time we think that it was because of all the smoke in the air from the fires. I miss everyone so much!

Grammy and Me

Getting some snuggles with Papa
Relaxing with Uncle Curtis and Caroline
Getting a guitar lesson
Great Grandma and Great Grandpa

Playing with my Cousins

I had so much fun playing with Jack and Caroline! I wore myself out. I played so hard that when it was time for bed, I crashed. (I even slept 14 hours straight the night we got home!!!)

My Auntie Heather thought it would be funny to use a hand towel to dry me off after my bath! It was a perfect fit!

We found a box and a table cloth laying around and thought that this would be the perfect thing to keep us busy!

The 3 of us!
Jack let me play with all of his cool toys... even showed me how to push the buttons.
Grammy let us run through the sprinklers. Caroline obviously thought it was a shower. Hee Hee
My crafty Auntie Heather made matching dresses for me and Caroline. HOW CUTE!!!! Jack wouldn't go for that fabric!

My friends Landen and Regan

We got to go visit my friend Landen and his Mommy Regan. I had a mysterious cough while I was there (probably from all the fires in Northern California) so my Mommy said I couldn't touch him. BUT he was SOOOO cute. I wanted to kiss him really badly! But Mommy said no. Darn!

A BIG boo boo

Jack and I were playing the garage and being silly. When Mommy said it was time to come back in we started running. Jack fell down a got a big boo boo!!!
"I'm sorry Jack!"
You can see how far his forehead bumped up.

Its ANOTHER Girl!

Lexi is going to have a baby SISTER! Yeah!

This little baby girl passed all of her "tests" and is right on track with her development. All of her organs are properly working and she has all of her fingers and toes!

We got to see her move around a lot, as well as practice her talking. She kept opening and closing her mouth, so the tech said that she is going to be a chatter box! (Like we need another talkative girl around our house!) She even tried to suck on her fingers, and practiced opening and closing her hands. It was like she was waving to us and trying to tell us about what she is doing. It was really cute! It is amazing how far technology has come.

Here I am having the ultrasound done

Here is a profile shot of her head and tummy. It is kind of hard to see, but she has her mouth open - if you look close, you can see the jaw bones. We also were able to view her in 3D. Which means they can take pictures of her with the skin over her bones. In the 2D, it goes through her skin. Later on when she is bigger we will have another 3D ultrasound so we can actually see the features on her face. It is amazing.

Our New Blog

Well hopefully you were able to find us. Sorry about the change. After a lot of thought, I realized that it will be easier for me to keep up with the blog if I only have to do 1 for the family and not individual blogs for the kiddos.

I am still planning on writing it from Lexi's perspective and once our baby joins us, he or she will be able to chime in too!

Speaking of the baby... tomorrow morning at 8:30am we go in for our BIG Ultrasound to find out if Lexi is going to have a baby sister or baby brother! Please say a little prayer that the baby is healthy and right on track.

If you know of anyone that reads our blog but didn't get the notification, please feel free to pass on the new site address!

Thanks for being faithful readers and friends!!

Love,

Leah

There are going to be some changes

Mommy has been putting some thought into my blog and what she is going to do once the baby is born. Since she'll be running after 2 kids, she will not be able to have individual blogs for us. So... she has decided to switch this blog into a "family blog" instead of it being just about me.

The address of the blog will be changing. In a week it will no longer be: alexiswhipple.blogspot.com

To be sure that you get the new address please email mommy at whipple_fam@yahoo.com or comment below with your email address.

Thanks.
