A rough week

In 1 week, Allie and Lexi have both recieved their first BIG boo-boos.

It all started with Allie tripping over shoes in the closet and falling into the corner of a dresser. Then later that day at the park, she was knocked down by a swing. She had a HUGE goose egg on her forehead that took about 5 days to go away.

Then, not even a week later, Lexi was hit in the face by a swing at the park and bit down on her tongue. At first it only looked like she cut her lip, but a few minutes later, we realized that her tongue had a MAJOR cut in it. So off to the ER we went. (BIG thanks to Lori for taking Allie for the afternoon!)

They gave her a coloring book to keep her busy. They also had a TV in the room so we snuggled and watched cartoons.

Because of the size of the cut and the location, the Doctors decided that it was best to sedate Lexi and then do stitches. There was no way they could have done it with her awake and aware of what was about to happen. She she was put to sleep and they did 4 stitches. It took her about 2.5 hrs to fully wake up and be ready to come home.

After sleeping from 5:45pm - 7am, she was back to her regular self. Although, she is having a hard time eating, she is still able to manage to eat something - especially when its fun! (Like goldfish in a muffin pan)
