I was so excited to be able to see my Grammy and Papa again so soon. Usually I have to wait a few months! This time was only 2 weeks between visits! YEAH!

I was really tired in this picture. My cousin Caroline is being silly!

Going on a trip

Tomorrow we leave to go to Northern California to visit with my Grammy and Papa. They wanted me to spend my birthday with them, so we are doing just that. They are going to throw me a fun birthday party and I also get to play with my cousins Jack and Caroline again. (I cant wait)

Mommy will post more pictures when we get back!

1 Year Dr Appt

Well today I got to go visit my Dr. I'm still going through this Anti-Dr phase, so I wasn't too happy to be there. As I sat there and cried, Mommy talked to the Dr and he said that I'm doing just fine. I had to get 2 shots today and that was NO fun!

Here are my 1 year stats:

22.8 lbs
29 inches

He said that I'm average in both categories.

My 1st Birthday Party!

Even though I dont turn 1 until Thursday, we celebrated my birthday this weekend. We wanted to have the party in a park so all my friends could have something to do. Well Sunday morning we woke up to RAIN! Mommy and Daddy were a little nervous. The weather report said that it would clear up by 12 noon and be partly cloudy. So we decided to stick with our plans.

Mommy and Daddy went a little early to set up. The sun was out, but the wind was blowing. And blowing. And blowing. It took them 30 mins to tape down 8 table cloths. Mommy couldn't decorate the way she wanted to because the wind was SO bad.

All of my friends showed up and they were COLD! Everyone still had a great time, but we were a bit chilly. After I enjoyed my cake, Mommy sent me home with Grandma so I could get out of the cold. I was really cranky and tired. But I had a GREAT time. All my friends showed up and were good sports about the cold weather.

Silly Uncle Nick... he was playing on the toys just like all the kids!

Me and my cousin Claire. We really like to play together!

Once we got home I got to open all of my presents. Look at all the fun toys that I got. I also got a lot of pretty clothes. I cant wait to wear them!

My Little Cake

This was my favorite part of the day. I got to FINALLY taste some delicious cake.

Mommy just took off my clothes so I wouldn't get my pretty shirt dirty. (I was SOOOO cold)
Look.... Mommy decorated my chair. There were all sorts of fun things to pull off.
My first taste. I wasn't sure about this gooey stuff on my fingers, but once Daddy encouraged me to taste it.... I was sold. This stuff is GOOD!
Mommy and Daddy trying to get in on some of my pictures. Hello... this day is about ME!
Yummy!
Look at my face!
The end result. I was too cold to eat anymore. My hands were shaking and I just wanted to get into warmer clothes.

I can WALK!

Guess who's walking? Me.

My Grammy and Auntie Heather worked with me really hard this week. I officially got it down on Tuesday! Now I can cross the room without help. I fall down a lot right now, but soon I'll be running. Watch out mommy, here I come!

The Beach

Auntie Heather is taking photography classes so she wanted to go to the beach while she was here. We went to Huntington Beach and had a great time. The weather was about 75 that day and it was just beautiful.

Jack and I enjoying a snack together

Me and Mommy watching Caroline play in the water
(Can you tell that we've been in the house all winter?
We both need suntans... BADLY!)

Jack and Caroline playing with the seagulls

Jack stole this ball from the teenagers that were near us. They didn't mind because they thought that he was SO cute.

Look at how talented my Auntie Heather is. Isn't this a great picture? It looks like it is a postcard.

Playing

I had tons of fun playing with my cousins Jack and Caroline while they stayed with me. Every time I woke up from a nap they were still there and I got excited all over again!

Jack and I found the ice chest so we went fishing for ice. (Me and Mommy eat ice for a snack all the time. Really helps with the teething.)

At bed time we had to blow up the aerobed for Caroline and Aunt Heather. This was the best part of every evening. All of us kids would lay on the bed while Heather inflated it. It was SOOOOO much fun.
We went to the pool a few times... the water was cold, but it was fun to splash around.
Crawling on the pavement hurts!
Caroline was SO brave in the water!

Auntie Heather

I was so excited when I found out that my Auntie Heather was going to be staying with us for an entire week! She is a busy girl, so when we go to visit with her in Northern California, she always has lots of things happening. But since she was staying with us, we could keep her hostage and play with her all day long.

Look how pretty she is!

She is such a good mommy! (And Auntie)

Papa & Grammy

I love it when I get to see my Papa and Grammy. I wish I lived closer to them.

This swing is a pretty popular place to sit.

Uncle Curtis

I LOVE my uncle Curtis. I wish I got to see him more, but he is a busy college student.

He drives this really cool bike and he let me sit on it!
He snuggled me when I was sleepy
We were really excited.... But I dont know why.

Easter

For Easter this year, all of our family came over to our house to celebrate. We went to church in the morning, then came home and took a nap. When I woke up it was time to eat a yummy ham dinner and then go on an easter egg hunt.

Here we are....ready to go:
Forget the eggs.... these sticks are much better to hunt!

Okay... fine. I'll hold the egg so you can get a picture.

Caroline and I checking out our loot!

Grammy took me for a walk when we were all done
We were all pretty happy with what we found!
