My Baby Sister is finally here!!!

The quick story:
Mommy was starting to dilate and her Dr was confident that she would go into labor soon. They set at date to induce her if for some reason she didn't go into labor. Friday morning about 3am Mommy started having contractions that were 2-5 minutes apart. When Daddy got up for work at 5:30am, she told him that it was time to go to the hospital.
Labor lasted ALL day long. They even gave her medicine to help the contractions move things along, but it didn't really help. Finally at about 7pm her water broke and that helped make everything progress.
Allie certainly didn't help things along. She was in an awkward position - not face down, not face up, but sideways. After pushing for almost 2 hours (and having her epidural stop working) the Dr had to use the vacuum to get her out. But once she was out, everything was perfect.
Both Mommy and Allie are healthy, and came home today. Mommy is really tired, so she is thankful for all the help she can get. I'm still not sure what to think about Allie. She is cute, but I dont like how much time she is spending with MY mommy!
Mommy wants to send BIG thanks to Lori and my friend Troy - Thank you SOOO much for taking Lexi on Friday. You are a lifesaver and I know that Lexi just loves Troy. It was so nice to know that she was in good hands while we were all at the hospital!

Troy and I (and after school, Bri) were honored to have Lexi here with us. She was an angel all day long and even took a beautiful long nap! She blended into our day just fine! Troy was sure tired though!!!
